Size Guide for Bridal Dresses, Sherwanis & Formal Wear

Choose a standard size or provide Custom Size measurements for an eligible outfit. All charts below show finished garment measurements, not ordinary store size labels.

1. Women’s Size Chart

For eligible stitched bridal lehengas, maxis, gowns, frocks, shararas, ghararas, peshwas and shalwar kameez. The labels XS–XL describe our garment sizes; do not assume they equal another brand’s measurements.

Women’s standard size measurements
Size Shoulder Chest Waist Hips Shirt opening Sleeve length Trouser length
XS 13.5 in34.3 cm 16.5 in41.9 cm 15.5 in39.4 cm 18.5 in47.0 cm 20 in50.8 cm 20.5 in52.1 cm 36 in91.4 cm

Inches are shown in bold; centimetres appear below in smaller type. All centimetre values are for reference.

Shirt, gown and maxi lengths are set according to your height and agreed preference rather than the size label. Sleeve opening and trouser opening vary by design: a fitted sleeve, a gharara and a flared sharara will not have identical proportions.

2. Groom Sherwani Size Chart

Our standard sherwani chart uses full measurements. Do not double any values in this table.

Groom sherwani standard measurements

All inches and centimetres reflect the same garment measurement.

Sherwani length is measured from the base of the neck at the back to the hem. The collar measurement is taken around the base of the neck, leaving enough comfort for one finger. If your chest and waist point to different sizes, contact our team and provide both figures.

Sherwani for Boys

Boys’ sherwanis should be made using the child’s own measurements. Do not select an adult size simply by age. Where offered, select Custom Size and provide full height, shoulder, chest, waist, hip, length, sleeve and collar measurements.

3. Men’s Kurta & Shalwar Chart

For eligible men’s kurta and shalwar sets. The chest and waist values below refer to flat half-width finished-garment measurements; double them for a full circumference.

Inches in bold; centimetres underneath. The chart represents finished garments, including wearing ease.

Kurta waist is measured approximately 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) below the armhole on a garment. Kurta length, sleeve length, collar and shalwar length are full measurements.

4. Custom Size — Made to Your Measurements

Choose the Custom Size option on an eligible product page if none of the standard sizes gives the fit you want. Our team uses the measurements you confirm rather than relying on a generic S, M or L label.

Women’s Outfits

  • Full height and intended heel height
  • Shoulder, bust, waist and hips
  • Shirt, gown or maxi length
  • Sleeve length and opening
  • Shirt opening
  • Trouser/lehenga length and opening where applicable

Sherwani & Kurta

  • Full body height
  • Length and shoulder
  • Chest, waist and hip as required
  • Sleeve length
  • Collar
  • Shalwar/trouser length where applicable

If a design needs extra measurements, our team will request them. You may submit measurements in inches or centimetres, but clearly state the unit and remain consistent.

Custom measurements are part of our normal made-to-order process. If a requested change materially increases fabric, embroidery or labour, we will discuss the cost before work begins.

5. How to Take Accurate Measurements

Use a soft dressmaking tape, wear close-fitting clothing and stand naturally. A professional tailor or a second person can help. Keep the tape level and comfortable — neither loose nor tightly pulled.

Women’s Measurements

  • Full height: top of head to floor while barefoot.
  • Shoulder: from one shoulder tip to the other across the back.
  • Chest/bust: around the fullest part of the bust.
  • Waist: around the natural waistline.
  • Hips: around the fullest part of the hips.
  • Shirt/gown length: from the relevant shoulder point to the desired hem.
  • Sleeve length: shoulder tip to the required sleeve finishing point.
  • Bicep and sleeve opening: around the relevant part of the arm.
  • Trouser length: from the intended waist to the finished hem.
  • Shirt/trouser opening: finished hem width, preferably checked against a garment you own.

Men’s Measurements

  • Full height: barefoot, head to floor.
  • Garment length: base of neck at the back to the preferred hem.
  • Shoulder: across the back from shoulder tip to shoulder tip.
  • Chest: around the fullest part beneath the arms.
  • Waist: around the natural waist; kurta waist may use a garment reference.
  • Hip: around the fullest part of the seat.
  • Sleeve: shoulder tip to wrist or required length.
  • Collar: neck base, allowing comfortable room.
  • Shalwar: from waist to intended trouser hem.

If you are supplying body measurements, do not add unapproved extra inches yourself. If you are supplying garment measurements, take them from an outfit whose fit you already like and label them as garment measurements.

6. Fit, Bridal Length & Measurement Changes

A fitted blouse, structured gown, flowing peshwas and relaxed shalwar kameez have different wearing ease. Tell us whether you prefer fitted, regular or relaxed styling, and check the intended silhouette on the product page.

Bridal Dress Length & Footwear

For floor-length gowns, maxis and lehengas, share your full height without shoes, the height of the heels you plan to wear, and whether you prefer a floor-touching hem or a slight clearance. If the dress includes a train or embroidered hem, specify that before cutting begins.

What If Your Measurements Change?

Contact us as early as possible. Before cutting begins, some changes may be straightforward. Once embroidery or cutting is under way, corrections may be restricted or quoted separately.

7. Size Questions

Should I select my usual Pakistani clothing size?

Not necessarily. Compare actual dimensions with the charts. Brand sizing labels vary and may not correspond to our finished garment measurements.

Can I use centimetres instead of inches?

Yes. Clearly state the unit. Our standard charts show inches and rounded centimetre equivalents.

What if I fall between two sizes?

If only one measurement differs, a larger size may be safer. If several measurements differ, Custom Size is usually a better approach.

Will my gown or maxi length come from the size chart?

No. Full height, footwear and your preferred finished length are used to agree the length of applicable dresses.

Can you make a sherwani for a boy?

Where offered, yes, using his own measurements. Do not select an adult size by age.

Can I alter my measurements after ordering?

Contact us promptly. Whether a change is possible depends on the production stage and any impact on materials or labour.

Can I check the finished dimensions before shipment?

Yes. During a pre-dispatch video inspection, you may ask the team to demonstrate important garment measurements.
