This sea green mehndi gharara suit sets a muted, cool-toned gharara beneath a maroon shirt and a contrast red dupatta, each piece heavily embroidered in antique gold, gold and multicolour thread. Maroon against sea green is an unexpected balance of warm and cool, made for a mehndi night with depth.

A Mehndi Evening in Sea Green

Soft daylight finds the gold-toned arches first, then the small floral sprigs within them, each tiny red bloom bright against the cool sea green. As she settles, the gharara gathers into broad folds and fans out around her, a trellis of pointed mehrabs spread like a garden laid in gold. The deep maroon shirt holds the eye, its metallic work glowing rather than glittering. Then the red dupatta falls across her shoulders, light enough to see through, its scattered dots glimmering while the floral border frames her. The music begins, and every glance returns to her.

Design and Craft

Design & Silhouette

This sea green and maroon mehndi gharara spreads muted folds beneath a richly embroidered shirt, a striking contrast of cool colour and warm metallic detail. The gharara carries an all-over pattern of gold-toned, mehrab-inspired arches filled with delicate floral sprigs and tiny red accents. A translucent red dupatta, scattered with reflective details and finished with an ornate floral border, completes the layered bridal silhouette.

  • Architectural floral pattern: repeated pointed arches form an intricate gold-toned trellis across the gharara, with small floral motifs inside the design.
  • Contrasting maroon shirt: closely worked metallic embroidery across the front, with layered floral and ornamental arrangements.
  • Embroidered full sleeves: fitted sleeves with curved motifs, floral details and patterned cuffs.
  • Flowing gharara silhouette: generous folds keep the repeating embroidery visible across the lower garment.
  • Statement red dupatta: a translucent drape with scattered sparkling details and a border of circular floral medallions.

Craftsmanship

  • Embroidery: zardozi, dabka, nakshi, marori, kamdani / mukaish, gota, resham, cutdana, salma sitara and zari work, with beads, sequins and jaal-work.
  • Placement: all over, across the full front, neckline, sleeves and cuffs, along the daman, and over the dupatta body and border.
  • Construction: 14 kali gharara with panels and cancan; silk lined; round back; concealed zip with hook and eye.
  • Three pieces: shirt / kameez, gharara and a 3.5-yard contrast red dupatta.

You stay in control until it ships

Watch it being made

Ask us at any stage and we send photographs or video of your actual outfit — from the first sketch through the embroidery frame to the finished garment. Ask as often as you like by email.

A complete video before it ships

Before the parcel is sealed we send you a full video of the finished outfit. If a detail needs adjusting, tell us then and we make the change where it is workable. Nothing leaves us until you have seen it.

Exactly what you see

The photographs and video on this page are of the outfit we make — the same fabrics, the same handwork, the same weight in the hand. A screen can only carry so much: it cannot show how the zardozi catches light as you turn, or how the ghera moves when you walk. That is why we send you a video of your own outfit before it ships, so you judge the real thing rather than a photograph.

Sizing & Measurements

Choose a standard size, or select Customised Size and we stitch to your own measurements at no extra cost.

Your size or measurement details are provided before checkout is completed, which is why production can begin the day after you order. If a measurement is unclear, send it to us by email before you submit it and our team will confirm it with you.

Size guide and how to measure

Care

  1. Always put paper between the layers when you fold it away. Kora, dabka and nakshi are metallic wire, and the fabric underneath them is fine. Every time the outfit is opened or folded, a stitch on one layer can catch the layer pressed against it and tear through it. A sheet of tissue or plain paper between the layers keeps the wire work away from the cloth, and it costs nothing. Use plain paper rather than newspaper on pale or ivory fabrics, because newsprint ink can mark them.
  2. Store it folded, not hanging. A heavily worked outfit is heavy, and months on a hanger pull the weight onto the shoulder seams.
  3. Dry clean only. Hand and machine washing damages metallic embroidery. Tell your cleaner the outfit carries zardozi, dabka or similar metallic handwork so it is cleaned by hand rather than by machine.
  4. Keep it away from direct sunlight and damp. Perfume and hairspray go on before the outfit, not after.

Questions About This Outfit

Can the design be customised?

Yes. Most customers ask for the design to be made a little more modest — higher neckline, longer or fuller sleeves, more coverage at the back, a longer shirt. Tell us what you want changed by email before you order so the pattern is cut correctly the first time. Colour, embroidery colour, sleeves, neckline and length are all adjustable on most designs.

Will the dress look exactly like the photographs?

It will be very close, and we do not compromise on the embroidery or the fabric. Two honest exceptions: the colour shade can look slightly different because of studio lighting and your screen, and because every customer's height and body type is different, a pattern may need to be adjusted so the design sits correctly on you — on a shorter frame, for example, part of the shirt pattern may have to be re-cut. Ask for the final video before dispatch and you will see the actual garment before it ships.

Can I return or exchange it after delivery?

No. Every outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so it cannot be resold or swapped for another size. That is exactly why the review happens before dispatch: ask for progress photographs and video at any stage, and for the complete final video before your order ships. An order can still be cancelled before dispatch — the windows and deductions are set out in our return policy.

Is there any extra cost on top of the price shown?

No hidden charges. The price you see is the price of the outfit. The only additions are the ones you choose yourself: Rush or Super Rush delivery, and any paid add-ons such as jewellery. Each is priced clearly before you pay.

Can I get matching jewellery with this outfit?

Yes. Matching earrings, necklace and related pieces are available as paid add-ons on this product — select them before you add the outfit to your basket and they are made and shipped with the same order.

Can I get a matching hijab or an extra dupatta?

Yes. Both are possible. Message us by email when you place your order and we will tell you exactly how to arrange it.

Is Rush or Super Rush delivery available for this outfit?

Yes, on bridal and groom wear. The Estimated Delivery Timeline box near the top of this page shows live dates for Free, Rush and Super Rush against today's date, so it is always accurate for your order.
